David M. Miller


David is a partner in our litigation group at Brown Beattie O’Donovan. He has carried on a personal injury litigation practice for more than 25 years, acting on behalf of plaintiffs in connection with a wide range of personal injury claims, including medical malpractice, neck injury, slip and falls, car accidents and accident benefits. He also is retained as defence counsel with respect to liability claims advanced against several school boards located in Southwestern Ontario. David has represented clients at all levels of the courts in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal.

David currently holds an appointment as a Deputy Judge of the Ontario Small Claims Court. He has lectured at continuing legal education programs sponsored by the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Middlesex Law Association. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Middlesex Law Association.

David is a former president of the Optimist Club of Byron. He was a member of the board of directors of the Byron Optimist Soccer Club for several years. He served as a member of the board of directors of the West London Minor Hockey Association from 2005 to 2011. He coached minor hockey and soccer teams for 14 years. He is presently serving as the Chair of Appeals for the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario. He is also a member of the London Referees Group and officiates minor hockey games in the City of London and throughout Middlesex and Elgin counties.

David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and went on to earn his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor. David was called to the Bar in 1984.
