Robert A. Van Praet


Prior to his call in 2005, Robert graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours BA in Political Science.  He then obtained his LLB from Bond University in Australia. Robert then completed the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PLT with Distinction) and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and placed on the Register of the High Court of Australia.

Robert’s practice continues to focus on Plaintiff personal injury, including motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, slip and falls together with his wide range of Insurance Defence matters.  Robert has experience in Professional Negligence claims and employment matters.  He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Robert is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Middlesex Law Association, Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates Society, amongst other groups.

Community involvement is extremely important to Robert.  He is active with the Windsor-Essex County ALS Society and his childrens’ sporting teams.

Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and two children on their country property.
